Covid-19 in Malawi

Our Coordinator,  Josie Charter, wrote in April 2020:

Sadly Malawi has not escaped the Coronavirus pandemic and, with this in mind, AquAid Lifeline has taken measures to safeguard our children and staff.

Following the closure of all schools by the President, we too have regrettably closed our centres for day-care children and we remain with only a few boarder children still in residence.

The entire management team in Malawi and the Board of Trustees in the U.K are optimistic that, once this challenging time passes, we will continue to support the most vulnerable and needy children in Malawi.

Since this was written schools have fully re-opened.
